Bergamot melon is a rare and special winter Trigonella families varieties of fruits and vegetables, is the citron fruit, native to Mexico and the Indonesian archipelago, the early 19th century from Japan into China. Introduced into the Yangtze River Valley in the 1990s, it is now mainly produced in Fujian, Shandong, Yunnan and Taiwan. The shape of chayote is like two palms together, and it has the meaning of Buddhist blessing, so it is called ” Buddha ” and “Fu Shou”, and it is deeply loved by people. Chayote is crisp, juicy, delicious, and has high nutritional value. It can be used as a dish or eaten raw as a fruit.
